Womens clothing in Islam

The Quran instructs both Muslim men and women to dress in a modest way, but there is disagreement on how these instructions should be interpreted. ... Muslim women have special clothes which they sometimes choose to wear in order to protect their modesty. Many Muslim women wear a hijab or veil to protect their modesty. Not all Muslim women choose to do this.

It is considered haram for both men and women to wear clothing that fails to cover the body properly (which stated in clothing guidance, the term "aurat/awrah") and clothes that are transparent. Additionally, Islam prohibits excess beautifying that involves the altering of one's physical appearance.

According to Islam the girl should start to practice Islam ( including wearing Hijab ) once she get her first period. Before that age she is not obligated to pray, fast or wear hijab. Some parents try to make the girl get used to practice Islam at young age to make it easy for her when she grow up.
